Global Religions and Cultures Minor

The Global Religions and Cultures minor equips students with skills in religious literacy: understanding how religion works in people’s lives as well as in the larger historical, cultural and sociopolitical forces that shape our world, from religious terrorism to nonviolence, from the suppression of women to the advocacy of civil rights. In this minor, students will study major global religions and their impact on real-world social and political issues, past and present.

Core Course: 3 Credit Hours


Choose five Religion electives: 15 Credit Hours


Students choose additional Religion (REL-prefix) courses in order to reach 18 total credit hours for the Global Religions and Cultures minor.
